For example. Skandia have an on line system which enables us to follow all of our clients funds, we can identify who is in what funds easily plus we have up to the moment fund information. We have the ability to switch your funds, although we will not do so unless we have your permission to do so. See below. You will have the ability to log into our back office system and view your funds each day if you wish as the values are updated each day for you. You will also have the ability to switch your funds yourself as in make your own investment decisions. We are not in charge of fund performance and you should be reminded that funds can decrease in value as well as increase and a fall in the FTSE can impact on fund performance.
Some companies on our recommended provider list do not have the same facility as Skandia but they are working on systems therefore the ability to view the value of your fund on a daily basis is not available and a fund switch is less instant and in some cases can take a day or two to do, which in this world of overnight reaction is not necessarily the best way to go.
Switching
You can switch your funds directly with the providers as this is your decision. The updates of your actions will show on our back office system when the company concerned actions them.
We will switch the funds for you based on your instruction. The fee for this is £50.00 payable on instruction.
We will help you with the fund research and quantify our recommendation and then switch the funds for you. The fee for this is £100.00 payable on instruction.
